The Space Coast Timing and Event Management Team promote a healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship by offering, managing, and promoting
quality sporting events. Our goal is to give back to the running community and provide for charities while offering a quality product at a
reasonable price. We pride ourselves in the quality of our services and want more than anything to make events a wonderful experience to the
athletes in them. If you are the race director or sponsor, that makes you look good as well.
Our founder and president Marty Winkel has over 20 years of race management experience. He is race director of the Space Walk of Fame 8K,
Chain of Lakes 5K, Beat the Boss 5K, and Parrish to YMCA 5K annually. He has directed nearly 100 races and provided timing services to
hundreds more. He has managed events from 2 miles to a 24 hour ultramarathon. He has also mentored numerous first time race directors to
successful events.
Marty is a current officer on the Space Coast Runners board of directors and is a past president. He is also co-founder of the Titusville Race Series,
offering cash prizes each year. He has been active in the running community since the 1970s. He also has run a marathon in all 50 states and is
currently on his second round of 50 marathons in 50 states.
